One of the most important pieces of equipment for a hockey player is their stick. There are so many different sticks available with so many different variations that every hockey player can virtually customize their stick to their body and play style. A number of factors come into play when choosing a stick including flex amount, curve and the overall length of the stick.

When choosing the right stick, the flex of the stick is vital. The amount of flex is based off of how of much the stick bends when shooting. The stronger the player, the less flex they will need and if a player is smaller, the stick will need more flexibility.Check out this link here. There are a ton of different curve options in a hockey stick as well. Finding the correct one takes some research and trial and error. The curve is important and each player prefers a different one. The length is often overlooked as a factor but it is extremely important. Usually forwards and players who are better at handling the puck will use a shorter stick for complete control. Defenseman will usually use a taller stick in order to have the maximum reach available to get in the away of the other forwards.

There are many options available in the hockey stick world and finding the perfect one takes some time. Players will have to try different types of sticks to find the perfect stick for their position and play style.
